My client was opening a gift shop named after her mother-in-law Annabelle, whose favorite flower is the hydrangea. Hydrangeas would be planted around the small shop, which would carry items like quilts, jams and treats, and local artwork. I wanted to make a charming, slightly old-fashioned logo which included a hydrangea.
